In this video tutorial, we are going to learn why and how to verify your email address in Constant Contact? First, why do you need to verify your email address? The main reason is all email addresses used in Constant Contact need to comply with the email marketing industry standards. The first email address you use to sign up will automatically verify and become the default “From” address in your email marketing campaign. It is also used as the main contact and billing address which is marked as (C) and (B) besides your email address when viewed under the “My Settings > Verify Address” in Constant Contact.

However, there may be times where you need to use more than one email address, see reasons here. To add in a new address and get it verify, follow the steps below. Alternatively, you can watch the video tutorials “How to Verify New Email Address” at the bottom of the post.

  1. Go to Constant Contact dashboard.
  2. Click on “My Settings” and “Verify Address”.
  3. Under “Email Addresses to Verify”, add in new email address in the box.
    (You can add in more new addresses at one time but remember to hit <ENTER> after each new email address.)
  4. Then click on the “Send Verification Email” button.
  5. You should see your new email address is added to the list and the next step is to verify your new email.
  6. Go to your inbox and look for email sent by Constant Contact.
  7. Open up the email and click on the link in the email to verify.
  8. Go back to Constant Contact and click on the Refresh button under “Verification Status” to update your latest verification status
  9. You have now successfully verified your new email address.
